Representatives from Dolphin Fantaseas and one of its local
partners M&C, this week locked horns with concerned
environmentalists and animal protection organisations over its plans
to capture wild dolphins and develop a swim with the dolphins
business in St Lucia.
The plans, which would see the construction
of facilities at Tapion Bay along with the capture of six wild
dolphins from St Lucian waters (pending the granting of the
necessary exemption from the SPAW protocol), are currently before
the Development Control Authority. National Development Corporation
chairman, Michael Chastanet is also a key player in the proposed
